Cookie Policy

THE VISUA (Pty) Ltd | Cape Town | Updated 12 October 2026

This policy explains cookies, similar technologies and technical website information on https://thevisua.co.za, operated by THE VISUA (Pty) Ltd ("we", "us" or "our"). Read it together with our Privacy Policy at https://thevisua.co.za/privacy-policy. Where website information identifies a person, or makes a person identifiable, we handle it under the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA).

1 Cookies and similar technologies
Cookies are small files stored on your device by a website. Similar technologies include local storage and technical identifiers. They can support requested functions, remember preferences or measure visits. Technical information and visit statistics can also be processed without placing cookies on your device.

2 Our current website configuration
Our published website is hosted on Tilda and uses its simplified statistics mode, with analytics cookies disabled. We do not currently enable Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Meta advertising pixels or other optional advertising-cookie integrations on our published pages. The website currently has no cookie consent banner.
In this configuration, Tilda does not create the tildauid, tildasid or previousUrl analytics cookies, or the TILDAUTM attribution cookie. A cookie storage duration therefore does not apply to these disabled cookies. Cookies already stored by an earlier website configuration or by another service may remain until they expire or you delete them.

3 Technical information and POPIA
Cookie-free statistics do not mean that no information is processed. Tilda and hosting infrastructure may process your IP address, browser and device characteristics, technical identifiers, pages visited, referring links, visit times and website interactions. This supports website operation, security, performance and visit statistics. Necessary hosting or security technologies may also be used to protect the site; they are distinct from optional advertising tracking.
Where this information is personal information, we use a lawful basis permitted by POPIA, including legitimate business interests in operating and securing the website, with due regard for your privacy and rights, or consent where required. Processing must be relevant and proportionate to its purpose. We do not treat merely continuing to browse as consent to optional tracking that requires consent. Retention, security and sharing of personal information are explained in our Privacy Policy.

4 External services and international processing
Links to WhatsApp, social media and Paystack take you to services with their own privacy and cookie practices. A Paystack payment link is sent separately by our team; Paystack processes the payment on its own payment page. Its cookies are governed by its own policy. Following these links may result in those providers placing cookies or processing information on their own services.
Hosting, communications and payment providers may process information outside South Africa. Where we transfer personal information, we use an applicable safeguard or other permitted transfer ground under POPIA, as described in our Privacy Policy. Provider information is available at https://tilda.cc/privacy and https://paystack.com/za/terms.

5 Your choices and privacy rights
You can use your browser settings to view, block or delete cookies and site storage. Blocking storage may affect functions that depend on it. The website currently has no on-site cookie preference controls. You can still contact us directly by WhatsApp or email.
Subject to POPIA, you may request access to, correction or deletion of your personal information, object to processing on applicable grounds, and withdraw consent where processing relies on consent. Withdrawal does not affect lawful processing already carried out. Contact us using the details below. You may also complain to the Information Regulator South Africa at https://inforegulator.org.za.

6 Changes to this policy
If we introduce optional cookies, tracking tools or third-party embedded content, we will update this policy to describe the providers, purposes and applicable storage periods. Before enabling technology that requires consent, we will provide an appropriate consent mechanism and a way to withdraw that consent. We show the latest revision date above.
