Services take place at the agreed home, hotel, villa or other suitable location. All people receiving services must be aged 18 or over. Our beauty and wellness services are not a substitute for medical diagnosis, treatment or emergency care. Only the services and any requirements expressly confirmed for your appointment form part of the booking.3 Requests and confirmationA website or WhatsApp enquiry is a request, not a confirmed appointment. We confirm availability, the service, date, time, location, professional arrangements, price, travel and any other charges, and relevant preparation requirements. You may review the details, correct mistakes or withdraw your request before confirming.Your appointment is confirmed once you accept the booking details and these terms, we receive the required 50% advance payment, and we send written confirmation. We provide the relevant policies before confirmation so that you can keep a copy. Contact us for a copy of your booking confirmation or transaction record.4 Payment and pricesPrices are quoted in South African rand. The complete price and any applicable taxes or additional charges are disclosed before you confirm. A 50% advance payment is required, with the remaining 50% payable before the professional departs for your location. You may pay the balance earlier, including the day before the appointment. Payments may be made by EFT to THE VISUA's designated bank account or through a secure Paystack payment link sent by our team through WhatsApp or email. The confirmation states the payment deadline and instructions. Pay only using payment instructions issued by THE VISUA.If a payment deadline is missed, we contact you and may hold dispatch, release the appointment or treat it as a cancellation in accordance with the Booking and Cancellation Policy and applicable law. We do not automatically take an additional payment without appropriate authorisation. Changes to the website menu do not alter an already confirmed price unless you agree to a booking change.5 Travel service areas and appointment hoursA R200 travel fee applies to a single-professional appointment within the standard service area confirmed in your quote. Travel outside that area is quoted individually. Appointments involving several professionals have a separately agreed travel charge; it is not automatically R200 or R200 multiplied by the number of professionals. All travel charges are confirmed before payment.Standard appointment hours are 07:00-18:00, Cape Town time. After-hours appointments are subject to availability and a separately agreed surcharge. Any parking or venue access charge that you are expected to pay must also be disclosed and agreed; unexpected extra charges require your approval.6 Preparing your locationProvide an accurate address, access and parking instructions, any required hotel or property permission, and a clean, safe and adequately lit workspace. Tell us about stairs, restricted access or other relevant limitations. Ensure access to electricity or water where specified for your service, and keep pets and other interruptions away from the working area. The professional brings the equipment and products agreed for the appointment.7 Suitability consent and professional conductTell us before the appointment about allergies, sensitivities, pregnancy, injuries, infections, recent procedures or other conditions relevant to your selected service. Suitability information is handled under the Privacy Policy. Follow any agreed preparation and aftercare instructions. Where a safety check, patch test or medical advice is needed, we discuss it before proceeding.A professional may decline or stop a procedure if it cannot be performed safely. We discuss alternatives and any fair payment or refund outcome, taking account of what has been provided and applicable law. Non-disclosure does not automatically remove rights or excuse negligent work.Services are strictly professional beauty and wellness services. Harassment, sexual requests, abuse, discrimination, threats or unsafe conduct are not accepted. A professional may leave or stop work to protect safety. Any charge for a terminated appointment must be fair, justified and lawful.8 Professional standards and independent specialistsProfessionals must demonstrate relevant training, experience and practical skills for their offered services. Before approval, our selection process includes identity verification, portfolio and reference checks, an interview and practical assessment, and lawful background screening where appropriate. Professionals must follow our hygiene, confidentiality and conduct standards.Assigned professionals operate as independent contractors under separate arrangements with THE VISUA. This does not change the fact that your booking agreement is with THE VISUA or remove any customer rights or responsibilities that apply to us. Professional assignments depend on availability; a material proposed substitution will be discussed with you.9 Arrival delays and multi-service bookingsWe communicate material arrival delays and discuss the available options. If you are late or unprepared, the available service time may be reduced if extending it would affect later appointments; any price or cancellation outcome must remain reasonable. If our delay prevents the agreed service, we discuss rescheduling or refunding the unprovided service. For appointments involving several professionals, including 4, 6 or 8 hands, the confirmation specifies the services, timing, personnel arrangements and travel price. Tell us promptly if you wish to remove a service or change the group size. Availability and any price adjustment must be agreed before extra work begins.10 Cancellations complaints and responsibilityOur Booking and Cancellation Policy forms part of these terms. Contact THE VISUA directly for cancellations, changes, quality concerns or refunds. We take reasonable care in coordinating and delivering your booking and investigate complaints with the relevant professional.Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where the law does not allow it, including liability for gross negligence, fraud or wilful misconduct, or removes applicable Consumer Protection Act or ECTA rights. A service complaint may qualify for correction or a reasonable refund. We do not require you to waive responsibility for negligent service delivery as a condition of booking.11 Events outside our controlSevere weather, transport disruption, illness, power failures or other events may prevent safe service. We notify you as soon as reasonably possible and discuss an alternative. If we cannot deliver the appointment, the company-cancellation and refund provisions apply; we do not require you to accept a credit.12 Privacy photographs and website useOur Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy explain information handling and website technologies. Photos or videos for portfolio or marketing use require separate permission. You may not misuse our website, impersonate another person, interfere with its security or reproduce content without permission except where the law allows. External links and social platforms have their own terms and privacy practices.13 Law changes and contactSouth African law applies. We first try to resolve concerns directly, without preventing you from using a competent court, regulator or other available consumer dispute process. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue where legally possible. Updated terms apply to future bookings; changes to a confirmed booking require agreement or a lawful basis. For questions, legal notices and booking support, use the business contact details in section 1.THE VISUA |
